Is in another hemisphere. Funny how that works.
I’ve told myself for awhile, that, even though I’m fat, I carry it well. I don’t let it all hang out, I dress modestly, and the clothes I wear make my figure look less corpulent than otherwise. All that said, I’m tired of carrying around the gut. I think I’m going to try this losing weight thing. But first, I need to find out how much my fat ass weighs.
Plan A: Crash Dieting
Plan B: Crash Exercise
Plan C: Perm
Plan D: Anorexia
Plan E: Bulimia
Plan F: Perm of All 4
Plan G: Perm of B D and E.
Plan H: A reasonable Diet and exercise regime.
I haven’t really figured out what Plan H will consist of. Probably some leisure walking, since I really don’t have any wind to speak of. The dieting will probably be more touch and go. I certainly am not going to be one of those creatures who exist solely on carrot sticks and bottled water. We shall see how this works.
Disclaimer: Anyone who thinks I’m seriously advocating Anorexia or Bulimia as diet plans should obviously look at the tenor of which they were proposed.
It can be a lot of fun. It allows for one to have a temporary distraction from tasks at hand, and also causes a little bit of pain, which heightens your senses. However, picking at a scab also prevents the wound from healing over.
For the past couple of months, I have been picking at such a scab in my personal life. Delightful irritation has turned into annoyance and I just want the festering sore to go away.
It all began in July when I met Ali. Unfortunately our burgeoning relationship was quashed by the long term arrival of his mother to Omaha. For whatever reason the only manner of communication we had was either email, or texting, both of which really lack in a lot of categories. The delightful irritation of receiving a text at a random time at night soon became a reminder that I wasn’t able to see a person who I had developed some feelings for.
Tonight, I just opted to get out the hot iron and cauterize the sore.
So, I get wireless intarweb from my workplace. That’s pretty cool. I also get a three day weekend on account of MLK day being a federal holiday.
I saw Hillary Clinton speak in Council Bluffs tonight. She strikes me as the cautious sort. Other than that, I was impressed, even though I grimaced through about 85% of her speech.
